I love almost all music, except for rap/ hip hop. I would have said Muse before the concert I saw last week, now Dream Theater takes the cake for me, btw Dream Theater is not for everyone, but if you have ever liked Rock/Metal/Meaningful music, odds are you will find something of there's that you would like

The orchestra that was preforming at a Games Live concert I attended once was the best performance I ever seen. The music they played sound almost identical to the actual music in the games.

Also my little brother's middle school orchestra was fun to watch preform.

Well I like rock and meaningful music and I despise Dreamtheatre, to me they're quite the opposite, meaningless, soulless fretwanking.

Anyway, the best live acts I've seen have been Gallows for their intensity, Nashville Pussy for thier rock n roll flair and Random Hand for their uniqueness.

I take it you mean any type of stage perfomance...so Darren Brown....he was fantastic.

Going to see Bill Bailey soon so that should be a good show too.

I'd love to see Dream Theater live and I will be seeing Muse when they come to Australia next.
So far my favourite concert has been Alice Cooper a few years back. For a 61 year old man, he is incredible. I hung himself on stage which was very cool. I'm going to see him again next month and apparently, I'm not sure if it is true, he kills himself 5 times on stage. Amazing stunts. His most famous way of dying would be by a guillotine.

I saw the original Lollapalooza tour. It was an impressive lineup: Jane's Addiction, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Living Colour, Nine Inch Nails, Ice-T, Rollins Band, Violent Femmes, Emergency Broadcast Network & Fishbone.

Motorhead on their 30th anniversary is easily the best I've seen/heard. I'm not much of a fan to be honest but their talent is undeniable.

System of a Down, the only live performance I've ever seen. Still it rocked my world.

I've seen a few bands live, my favorite would have to be CKY. I've only listened to a few albums by them. they by far have the best stage presence of any band I've seen. Sevendust has a pretty good stage presence too.

Haven't seen that many live performances, but I went to a Metallica concert about four days ago which kicked ass. Lamb of God and Mastodon warmed up. Mastodon was pretty decent, though they had very bad sound. Lamb of God was insane. I doubted Metallica could top that, but they did.

The special effects probably had something to say, like the lasers and the Death Magnetic coffins they had sailing around in the ceiling, but it was an awesome experience. They really got the crowd going.

Gallows. They are a force to be reckoned with live. If you're in the pit you WILL get hurt. Even if you're not in the pit you WILL get hurt. If you're outside the venue you WILL get hurt. Ok, maybe not the last one. Bear in mind you will also have a fucking brilliant time. They make other hardcore acts look like little girls.

Machine Head in the CIA were good, played along with Arch Enemy, Trivium and Dragon Force. Pretty hench.

Also Metallica in Wembley Stadium with Mastodon and Machine head.

Iron Maiden with Avenged Sevenfold.

Megadeth with Priestess. Oh so awesome.

Alice Cooper with Motorhead, Joan Jet And The Blackhearts.

I like most live shows I've seen.

The best show I ever went to featured Bluebird, Division of Laura Lee, the Locust, and the (International) Noise Conspiracy. The energy of the crowd just kept building until T(I)NC hit the stage and the room exploded. That's followed closely by the time I got to see the Polysics for free in a college pub near my house. Their front man has so much energy, it almost melts your face off.

Green Day are pretty amazing live they really know how to work a crowd. They even let some fans come on stage to play a song, and do stage dives. The Trews and Alexisonfire are pretty good live too.

Funny you say that because I can't seem to enjoy DT live. I've seen most of their live dvds and most of the time they are standing perfectly still. Now I can fully understand why they do this, the stuff they play isn't easy so you can't really jump around and hit all the right notes. Having said that it is amazingly impressive they can nail all the stuff to near stuido quality.

The best live performance I've seen is a local Brisbane funk/metal band called "The Kidney Thieves". Their stage antics are awesome and they are so tight, in their first song they all had hats on and the intro for this song was really quiet, as soon as it got to the metal part they all started to headbang, knocking their hats off and letting their hair fly free. The highlight of the night was when the lead singing jumped from the stage, on to a pool table and started to dance. Greatness!
