The best show I've been to is Trivium a month ago when they were in Australia. It was just awesome. I could barely hear anything for a couple days though.

I wish I could have gone to Metallica's S & M concert...

So far, I've been to three concerts.

The first one was a Gigantour; the bands were Job for a Cowboy, Children of Bodom, In Flames, and Megadeth. I'm not a big fan of the first three bands, but this concert was very appealing visually and audibly.

The second one was at Rose Quarter in Portland. That one had The Sword, Down, and Metallica. The opening bands were both fantastic, but James Hetfield had bronchitis during this tour. I didn't really notice during the concert, but the downloadable mp3s their site hosted afterward were terrible. This concert wasn't as visually appealing as the Gigantour, but the music was awesome at the time.

The third concert I've been to was here in Medford, in the Medford Armory. It had no seats, so my friends and I were standing for a total of six hours that night. I think the first band was Archer Nation or something; I don't really remember. The second band was Dope. I didn't pay too much attention to the music, but the mosh pits were pretty fun. After Dope was finished, Black Label Society took a fucking hour to set the stage. The music was awesome, but then Zakk Wylde went and had a twenty-minute solo. It was cool at first, but then it got tedious and boring.

Overall, I'd say the Gigantour had the highest awe-factor.

I went to see Gogol Bordello 2 weeks ago. They were great, but what really blew me away was their opener, Man Man; their performance was the craziest I've ever seen. There were Cheetos flying around, rubber chickens being used as instruments, security guards dancing on stage; it was like an acid trip on stage, only it wasn't Pink Floyd!

Muse (at Wembley Stadium)

no question

Though The Living End at Brixton Academy came pretty close (they're punk-rock)

Metallica and Iron Maiden were both awesome shows, although my favourite has to be the Bullet For My Valentine concert I went to, mostly because it was my first live concert, and, therefore, also the first time in a pit and in a Wall of Death.

If we're talking music, I saw Arcade Fire at the Glasgow Barrowlands, and they were beyond incredible. I genuinely cried when they played "Wake Up" (but don't tell anyone. You'll ruin my street cred.)

I saw Frankie Boyle at the Garage in March, and I have never laughed like it in all my days. The Attic of the Garage is absolutely tiny, so I felt like I could reach over and touch him he was that close, which was an amazing feeling. A close second was Andrew Maxwell at the Fruitmarket, which he made feel like you were alone with him in a comedy cardboard box while he whispered jokes in your ear.

Muse were pretty amazing, due to actually having talent and not relying solely on post-editing.

But as surprising as it is, my best concert was Interpol. Firstly, they were great, and secondly I took the most amazing pill I have ever taken. Perhaps the pill changed my perception a little, but in any case it was fantastic.

Here are a couple of youtube vids of The Kidney Thieves doing what they do best - Rocking out and being silly.

The sound quality is pretty junk but its still worth a listen/watch =D

Filter in some back-alley club in Orlando. Only thing we knew about them was one of the main guys was Trent Reznor's old guitarist during Prety Hate Machine. I've seen my favorite bands including Type O Negative dozens of times, yet this concert always stands out as kicking the most ass!

Second would have to go to 6 Feet Under (band made up from members of other bands like Obituary) in another back-alley club in Oklahoma City. Reason... all the bloodshed. Things got very out of control. So much mayhem. So much fun!

Worst concert ever, also most expensive concert ever, White Zombie at the Orlando Arena. Only time I ever saw them and we got seats so far to the side, all we saw was curtain throughout half the show. Sean Yseult did spend about half the time far enogh up on stage for us to see her, which is always a nice vision to watch, but Rob himself only stepped forward enough for him to catch like three or four glimpses. And it was so packed there with so much security... man it sucked ass. Didn't even sound all that great.

I have only been to one concert and that was a Disturbed one. However I would happily give my left testicle to have been at Metallica S&M. I have the DVD and my god. That is like the greatest performance ever.
Why only one? D:

First would definitely have to be Incubus, I was hyped to see them and was not disappointed. Also I was their with my girlfriend and Incubus was "our band" so it made it even more special.

Second was Run-DMC!
I saw them at a festival a few years before Jam-Master Jay was murdered. God it was awesome!

Third would be Muse when I saw them during their Absolution tour. Rocking out to Stockholm Syndrome!

Pendulum. Possibly the most packed I had ever seen my local venue. It was absolutely amazing.
