Luke MOTHERFORKING Cage. You can't get much more awesome than Powerman. Not only can he beat up most people, he can do it while still being a good father and husband.

In the same vein, Jessica Jones, despite being Bendis' Mary Sue, is a pretty cool character on her own.

I also have a soft spot for Kate Bishop (Hawkeye II, of the Young Avengers), for having pretty much the only rape backstory ever to not feel like a huge cop out.

I've always been a big fan of Captain America, not just because he's a mortal among gods but because of what he stands for--an exemplar of a bygone era of truth and justice (that may never have existed, a la Utopia) who finds himself in a world that needs him more than ever and is even less willing to admit it. One of my favorite quotes from a comic was from an old Avengers (several universe reboots ago) where Hercules said "On Olympus we measure speed by Mercury, power by Zeus, and strength by Hercules...but we measure courage by Captain America."

Consider that the guy has, armed with a frisbee and super-soldier serum that boosts him to the limits of humanity, stood alongside (and against) gods in combat and prevailed, excelled, bought victory through determination and tactical brilliance. In the end, he was brought low the only way he could be--not in battle, but by a sniper's bullet. Only taken unaware could the ultimate warrior be brought low.

Aquaman.

Don't think Aquaman's a Marvel guy...
Nope, but Submariner is. Twice the angst, half the costume, and as a bonus he's got little wingythingies on his ankles.

I'm a fan of Iron Man, and also Gambit. His personality and the way he utilized his mutant power was always awesome, and I think he was one of the most in-depth X-Men in the way of his character development.

I've always been a big fan of Carnage. I know he's not a hero but I always thought he was pretty kickass. I think it sort of depends who's writing the issue though doesn't it? I mean different writers make Spiderman more or less smarmy. I myself am an Image comics kinda guy (woo, go Maxx!).
I like Carnage, its too bad Sentry tore him in half and threw him into space. Fuckin' Sentry.

I'd say..............venom why? cause he's a phycopathic badass and he's kinda funny in his own twisted way
Don't forget Carnage, Venom's psychotic offspring. He's like that nightmarish clown everyone truly fear, but with blades for hands......Fun

I also love the fact that he breaks the cardinal rule of comics by acknowledging the fact that he is in one. First character ever to break the fourth wall as its called.

Gambit. Just...come on. Killing people with playing cards? And a staff? Awesome.

Oh yeah, and Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange, he was such a badass. But they will never make a movie about him, no one knows about him.
I agree. He needs a movie.
Third'd.

So... an Animated movie doesn't count? cuase he had one a few years back it was pretty sweet but if you mean a good Live-action movie about him... shouldn't the bad ones for the other characters who are more well known as you put it get fixed 1st?

Of the top of head.

Moon Knight
Jessica Jones
Marvel Boy (Noh-Varr)
Bullseye and Moonstone
Howard the Duck (Don't judge a book by its movie.)
Fantomex
"No Girl" Her mutant power is that she's entirely conceptual.
Ben Urich
She Hulk (Jennifer Walters)
Profile
Runaways especially Gert and Molly.
Omega the Unknown and James-Michael Starling
Ultimate Thor. It's too bad he never showed up after Ultimates Two.
Agent X
Amadeus Cho from what I've read of him.

Most of the characters from Moonshadow if that counts.
