Theres no real melody to it, but I still love it and I have all their albumsblaze338 said:zMy Vote goes to Children of Bodom and dude their first 4 albums, there is no way you can call that anything but Melodic Death Metal.Julianking93 said:Arch Enemy and Children of Bodom.
I wouldn't really say that COB is Melodic Death Metal, but their Wikipedia page says so along with pretty much everything else.
I don't see how you can say it's not melodic, Bed of Razors, Children of Bodom, Silent Night Bodom Night, Kissing the Shadows, Children of Decadence, Bodom After Midnight, Lake Bodom, all of these have alot of melody in them.
I wouldn't call them melodic death metal, either. They're power metal. Sure, Alexi screams; that doesn't automatically make it death metal when the instrumentation has more in common with bands like Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Edguy, etc.Julianking93 said:I wouldn't really say that COB is Melodic Death Metal, but their Wikipedia page says so along with pretty much everything else.
Thank you! You're the first person to agree with me.Inconnu24 said:I wouldn't call them melodic death metal, either. They're power metal. On topic: I'd say Dark Tranquillity. Also, I've been enjoying Heaven Shall Burn lately. Not the best, but definitely a solid band.
