I could name here over 500 albums i love, but there is this one album that... well, it first ripped my heart out, after that it fried and ate it and ultimately it eaven throwed it back on it's place. And that great album is:
Wintersun - Wintersun
This package contains 8 eargasms that will blow up your god damn mind!

Pop go the Wiggles by the Wiggles. Every show the crowd goes wild.

In all seriousness, Parnoid by Black Sabbath. I was raised on that shit.

Metallica - ...And Justice for All, Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, Black Album, Death Magnetic (I'm a huge fan as you can tell)
Mastodon - Crack the Skye (and Leviathan to a lesser degree)
System of a Down - Toxicity (all their albums are great though)

Rust in peace by Megadeth
Amongst the living by Anthrax
Horrorshow by Iced Earth

These three are acceptable. Disagree and I will kill you will a rusty spoon. I'm just kidding...mostly.

This, just this. They are amazingly captivating live and this album tells a great story.
I've seen them live (With Dethklok and High on Fire [I'm not mentioning the other abomination]) as well and loved them. Personally, I feel that, although I enjoy listening to Crack the Skye alot, Blood Mountain gets the trophy here. It was a huge success and helped get metal back on it's feet these past 5 years. Kudos Mastodon.

Well There is no "Best Album ever" That I could attest to but some of my favorites are as follows
1.Blazing Eternity - of times and unknown waters
2.Dark Tranquillity - Haven (best live show I've ever been to)
3.Frameless Scar - Whatever album 18-nine is on cause that song alone can make an album great
4.Katatonia - viva emptiness
5.Everything from Opeth
6.Everything from Agaloch
7.Project Hate MCMXIX - Hate, Dominate, Congregate, Eliminate
8.Raunchy - Velvet noise
9.Soilwork - Natural Born Chaos
10.In Flames - Reroute to Remain.

Not in any order but if you love metal... try these out.

Almost certainly Black Sabbath's Paranoid. I did really enjoy Mastodon's Crack the Skye, though. I also adore Imaginos by Blue Oyster Cult, though that's sort of right on the line between metal and hard rock.

And Dawn of Victory by Rhapsody is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I enjoy the album despite disliking Power Metal on principle.

Feel the Steel!

Calumon: I can feel the steel, but it's really really cold.
Steel Panther! It's a pretty good album, great if you want a good laugh. I'd love to know if some of the things they sing about in their songs actually happened, I get the feeling the majority probably did :|

If you genuinely do not know about Ayreon, you should really remedy that ASAP.
Personally I found Ayreon to be cheesier than an ABBA and brie sandwich. It reminds me a lot of Genesis. and I really hate Genesis.

But hey, most of what I listen to now is not really classified as metal. I mean, Kyuss is borderline, and I omitted Clutch & Monster Magnet for the same reason.

Oh yeah: Whoever suggested Metropolis Part 2 - Dream Theater, check out Steve Vai. There's just the same amount of pretentious wank in that schmuck too.
