Best MLP episode for converting people?

Hey bronies (everyone else, that's your cue to leave), I'm trying to convince my girlfriend that My Little Pony is actually a good show, but she still can't get past the whole "ponies" thing. I was gonna show her the first two episodes since they introduce the characters, but they're pretty slow paced and not that funny; she doesn't really have patience for something she's prepared to dislike. What would be a good episode that's funny, fast paced, and doesn't require any knowledge of old episodes.

I was thinking "Sonic Rainboom" or maybe "Green isn't Your Color", what do you guys think?

if you think its for little girls only watch episode 25, or 21, or the first two for season 2.

I'd say Party of one. that's the one that got my boyfriend converted, it was the scene where Pinkie is chasing Dash and she hides in the church bell? He was pissing himself laughing. And at the eerie eyed, spacing out bit.

Also, does anyone think the new season seems a bit... not as much for kids? I was watching it and I thought it was a bit too dark and creepy.

Before season 2 I typically used Dragonshy but now I think season 2 episode 1 might be best.

I'd go with Dragonshy. It's converted several of my friends and really is a good example of what most episodes have to offer. Any of the plot-based ones (i.e. episodes 1-2 of both seasons) are a poor choice since they aren't typical examples of the rest of the show, IMO.

I think episode 16 Sonic Rainboom is best for newcomers, it's good and fun all the way through. It's not as cute and cuddly as many other episodes, which is good to avoid scaring people off.

well that be because now the creaters now know their show has a mature audince, they need to blanance child like humor with intellect that adults will like. hard scale to blanance prefectly.

I generally recommend Dragonshy, but that may be a bit slow. (I can just see her imitating Dash. "Come on, just get up the mountain already!") I'd say get her primed with some of the fan made content first.

Yes, "convert" as though the whole fucking world should follow it. Posts like this piss me off. Like said in a previous post, it's as bad as a jehovah witness coming to your door every 5 second and not taking "I don't want to be religious" as an answer. You might not care for it initially but after a while it really grinds you down to hate it with a blood-curdling rage, like me. MLP is a crappy phase in a portion of what I thought was the good side to the internet. It's a cartoon designed for children shown on children's channels; & sure "Spongebob is cool so why can't this?" - because it's lame and not as cool as Monty Python or Gmod Idiot Box on youtube. etc.

It also annoys me when people dislike something they've never tried. but in your GF's case, she has already tried it & now you're trying to force feed it to her.

What's with all the MLP threads all of a sudden? I thought they migrated to the user group when the unbridled* rage began, but now I've seen 3 4 in the space of an hour.

OT: The ticket master is the one that hooked me, but I'm not sure if I would recommend it as a great starting episode. It has a fairly standard cartoon plot, and I'm still not sure what it is exactly I liked about it. Then again, I could say that about any episode, so I doubt it really matters which you show someone. Generally, if they're going to like the cartoon they will like every episode, if they're not going to like it then it won't matter which episode you show them.

Yeah, I showed her some fan videos already, and she loved them, but she thinks the real show is probably shit, and it's obviously not.
