Mabinogi:
wonderful graphics for a free game
the combat is engaging and strategic as well as incredibly balanced
and the community is nice too.

Definitely recomend giving it a try

I suppose I'm going to have to say Tibia here. Started seven years ago, and I still play. I've tried World of Warcraft on four separate occasions from its infancy to the release of the Lich King thingy, and I found it for the most part to be excruciatingly boring. I also played Anarchy Online some five years ago, which didn't hook me. Also tried City of Heroes/Villains, Champions Online and a game I think was called Ragnarok. So yeah, I suppose I'll have to say Tibia, since it succeeded where the others failed.

Oh, and Kingdom of Loathing! I think I've been playing it for five years now. It's the silliest little browser MMO you will ever find.

Wow, but only the Wrath of The Lich King expansion, although the rest is certainly fun as well, it falls just bellow the new MMO I picked up, Star Trek Online (Was in the beta, awesome then, more awesome now). Still, with Cataclysm coming up in the fall, vanilla WoW is going to be updated to the standards of WotLK, so I'll assume WoW in general as of fall 2010.

Earth Eternal is okay, but is a clone of WoW in many ways, while it lacks some support at least it is free (well pay for elite stuff). And Earth Eternal has furries LOL. But is quest/kill grind so 20 levels and yah it becoems just kind of ok. Stop playing WoW because got tired of paying to feel like I was working, and had a bad experience with guild poltics. But of course WoW is the big boy on the block to beat.

Whoa, I've been playing Tibia on and off for almost seven years too. It's a game that keeps me coming back more than any other I've played. That's probably because of the community-driven aspect, although it's been pushed to the back a bit.

MapleStory, while not the prettiest, friendliest or least boring MMO I've ever been apart of, it is still the only one that has managed to keep me coming back to it year after year.
