I was using cheat codes and bashed an EDF soldier over the face with my sledgehammer and he went flying over a huge mountain into a gunship, making it explode, it crashed into a building destroying it completely.

Can you cheat on the console version or is the best experience ejecting the disk and playing something better?
It does start out very slow, but when you start to advance in the story, you get all kinds of cool stuff.
Then why did you feel the need to come and post about it? The thread asked for best moments, not: did you like it or not?
On topic. I just loved destroying things in general. To me it felt like GTA with the ability to destroy buildings.

You know that big bridge that's a bonus target or whatever? And I mean the really big one. Destroying that by driving trucks into gradually larger holes in it. Painfully long time, but so damn worth it.
Planted an IED in the road ( just a pile of satchel charges in the road in my case) detonated it on one of the dump trucks and its destroyed body flew up into the air hitting a tower making debris hit some plasma tank and getting a 6 kill streak from it and then some debris from the explosion hit me right in the nuts. good times good times.
The day I returned it and got a refund, because that game was way too short and not nearly entertaining enough.
But as for in game...
Shooting down one of those flying thingys and it crashed on a building crushing a pile of guys inside and killed them all, getting me out of a very bad situation. That was pretty cool.

I suppose towards the end where I just stormed a base with the artilary walker thing and just blew buildings to the ground. Or the story mission (One of two... ugh) where you got to play as the Heavy Walker.
I dunno, I just really thought there was a lot of wasted potential in this game.

EVERYTHING. Seriously, loved this game to bits. But I think there could've been waaay more heavy walker bits. Or maybe a rare chance to free roam in one; it was all challenges or missions that you used them...
Agreed. My absolute favorite vehicle had to be the giant tank in the final mission. That thing was so epic I almost cried when I climbed in and learned it's potential.

Pretending to be John Connor in Terminator: Salvation, running around saying to people in a gravelly voice, "Are you Red Faction? (When they don't respond) Then you die!" and smacking them with the sledgehammer which sent them fucking flying because I had cheats on.
