What is the best game that is made with a movie? I'd have to give it a tie between Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (though LotR: TT was also good) and Spider Man 2.

EDIT- I'm only considering movies that were released for specific movies. Star Wars KotOR doesn't count. Neither do the LEGO games.

I really liked the LOTR 2. Course I haven't played it since I was like 13 so I'm not sure how I'd like it now. The Wolverine game was pretty good too.

Either one of the LOTR games, or the Da Vinci Code game. It's brought me and my friends countless hours of enjoyment. One of us, usually me, moves the character around, another completes the combat sequences, while the rest solve the puzzles.

I have to agree with that Spider-Man 2 one, for the PS2.

But another game I really really liked, and still like, was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for the GameBoy Color. It had awesome music and was extremely entertaining. I don't know how many times I beat that game.

Return of the King was a masterpiece compared to the usual dross we get served. I sunk soooo many hours into playing that, especially co-op with a friend. Good times.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say my all time favourite movie liscence game was: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for the PS1. Man, that game had it ALL! I loved it simply because it was the only version which let you fly the Ford Anglia! It also followed the continuity of the book more than the film and even included Nearly Headless Nick's Deathday party, which they didn't have in the film and really needn't have put in the game. Plus you could explore Hogwarts, play Quidditch and the whole thing was just FUN. An instant winner for me.

Spiderman 2 of course. Others are the Return of the King (Great fun with a friend), HP and the Order of the Phoenix (the only Harry Potter game that didn't completely suck, apart from Chamber of Secrets for Gameboy Advance, that was quite fun. Oh but then there's the Quidditch games, those were awesome...)

Anyway yeah, those were the ones I liked. And King Kong. That one was rather epic.

The LOTR games were great hack 'n' slashers, I probably replayed The Two Towers around fifteen times.

Mine is Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie. It is a pretty good survival horror FPS with some nice scenes, good level design and unique enemies.

spiderman 2 and harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban for the PS2.

spiderman 2 is still my favorite game of all time: i'm playing it right now, actually. never fell more badass than when i play this game.

and HP:pOA was my first PS2 game, so i still have fond memories of it: if they had quidditch in in it, it would have been perfect! it's actually still a pretty epic game, when you get down to it: flying buckbeak was FUUUUNNN!!

I liked The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and Batman: Arkham Asylum, but I'm not sure if they are valid entries here, since they aren't associated with actual movies (although they do feature characters licensed from movies).

Edit: The first 3 or so Harry Potter games were pretty good too (didn't play the rest).

...nope, couldn't keep a straight face. [/Cave Johnson]

I'd probably have to say Aladdin for the SNES.

I thought Star Wars Episode 3: The game was alright. It worked better than most movie licensed games I've played.

There's a few, but here's the first that come to mind:

Cars (I played it on PS2 but I'm pretty sure it was also on Gamecube and Xbox). It was basically a sandbox game with some racing that was pretty well done. Beautifully detailed world with every location and character from the movie. Rockin' soundtrack too.

Actually now that I think about it, Pixar had quite a bit of decent licensed games.

Peter Jackson's King Kong was pretty fun. I remember playing HP Chamber of Secrets for the Gamecube and that was pretty fun too.
