Jaws, from James Bond Films, was such a good bad guy. He bites people to death, but he's really a big softy.

Hmmm... I'm going to say Frank the rabbit out of Donnie Darko.

He's certainly a memorable character.
He also wasn't a villain the last time I watched it?? (literally last week)

I saw him more as an angel of fate more than anything.
I don't know... he certainly did more harm than good to Donnie.
Well if you wanna break it down...

Frank was actually Donnie's sister's boyfriend. The two don't really meet until he runs over Gretchin.

Way before that happens, a wormhole appears above Donnie's house connecting Donnie's present and the 28 days later or whatever the number was. A plane (carrying his mother no less) is caught in this wormhole and an engine is ripped from it, this destroys Donnie's bedroom and he would have died but he went sleepwalking instead.

We are to believe that Frank the rabbit leads Donnie away from the house, thus saving his life, and offfering Donnie a glimpse at an alternate reality lasting 28 days.

All Frank does is ensure's Donnie discovers everything about time travel and wormhole's etc to ensure he makes a conscious choice to remain in bed when the inevitable happens.

After seeing what happens to Gretchin, Donnie gives his life willingly so that the true reality is restored (he travels back in time).

I wouldn't classify Frank as a villain as he doesn't really do anthing of any significance in the true reality. Except maybe bone his sister or whatever.

Plus he may even have saved the world. If Donnie didn't carry out his destiny, the world would be irreperably changed and divided by zero or something...

Ivan Oose from the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers movie.
He makes oose puns all the time, he can make killer birdie people from his snot, and he makes all the adults of a town go on a suicide rampage. He's the best.

That is all I think of. Hmmm, okay he might not have been a villain, but he certainly was very sinister.

Okay my new choice for the best [i/]villain[/i] of all time is probably Saruman in LOTR.

Colonel Hans Landa as played by christoph waltz in inglorious basterds.

stunning performance.
Exactly what I was going to say. He was infinitely awesome in that movie. How the Hell did noone ever hear about him before?

also, Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman in American Psycho.

I'm going to say Tyler Durden from Fight Club and the Joker from the Dark Knight. I could see those two getting along quite well.
