well there was this zombie flash game that I got the world high score on once after hours of playing I got so many health upgrades when I wanted to quit I just stood still for half an hour waiting for the enemies to kill me...

Possibly the "No Russian" mission to MW2? I love a good FPS with a cinematic feeling to it.

God of War it is for me. Although you don't mow down everything. Some things get mowed down by others, and there are about 2 girls every game that you have sex with instead of mowing down.

Gungrave: Overdose. You start shooting and 10 hours later, after demolishing everything and everyone with your infinite ammo you shoot some more. Then you replay the game with one of two other unlockable characters that are equally awesome, like Juji who has gunblades. 0_<

Painkiller or Serious Sam.
I prefer the former for singleplayer, but the various versions of the latter are great for coop if you've got a few buddies around.

In Gungrave: Overdose, not only do you kill everyone and everything but you also destroy everything. Support columns, shelves, entire stores, cars, EVERYTHING surrounding you.
