Best multiplayer

Which game has the best multiplayer? My favorites are Halo 3, CoD4 & 5, and Killzone 2

its just really all about Call of duty 4 and Call of Duty world at war

though GTA4 on free roam with lots of people is fun

I really like CoD 4's multiplayer nowadays. You can go in to a match, play with the same people for hours while not having to be on the same team every match, then disband and search for another group. Very accessible, and more respectable now that all the "must have, must play" kids have run off to CoD:WaW.

Burnout Paradise is also pretty fun in a full 8-player freeburn. Just drive around, crashing into each other and challenging each other to races or Road Rules.

I'm going to watch this thread closely. It's my birthday tomorrow and I'll be getting LIVE. I'm going to go out to town and buy a multiplayer game. This thread should help me to decide.

I never like team fortress 2 honestly, it only had two modes, and only one is any good.

CoD4, just for the accessibility and ease of playing with friends.
Although if your talking about offline, guitar hero world tour is the most fun game to play with friends

COD4 is definately the fastest, most intense and action packed hyper fun.

Halo 3 is a laugh wiht some mates, especially when you betray eachother by running over eachother in warthogs

L4D is simply amazing with the right people. Requires coordination to do just about anything successfully, and when you pull it off, it feels great.

Plasma Pistols only in Halo: CE. Although, all the halos are great in the multiplayer aspect.

TF2s simplictiy is also nice.

Call of Duty 4 = Easiest multiplayer game, EVER.
Call of Duty 5 = How far up can I get my K/D before I reach 10,000 kills
Halo 3 = How many little 5 year olds can I kill today?
Gears of War = Shotgun/chainsaw. End of discussion.

My favorites were Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Left 4 Dead, Chromehounds, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

Yes. Very yes. Just started playing TF2, and it's a riot. L4D has been a favorite for awhile now.
