Best music on a game

I really like the songs from any Metal Gear Solid game. They fit extremely well to the whole Tactical Espionage Action thing, especially the boss songs.

Yeah loved donkeys music from he opening credits to the soothing underwater melodies. Cracking stuff!

EDIT: WIPEOUT for me was so good that I bought the soundtrack, and it rocked!

Actually, almost every song from SOTN is superb.

Of course, who could forget the old classics, where I'd like to include Sonic: The Hedgehog as a special entry, just because those songs are burned in my ears for probably forever. And that's not a bad thing either

Oooh, tough choice. Final Fantasy VI, Megaman 2 or pretty much any of the Castlevania games.

I'll have to go with Castlevania this time, though. Dance of Illusions/Illusionary Song from Symphony of the Night, especially, was sublime. Liked Bloody Tears from Castlevania: Dracula X as well, and Wicked Child from the original Castlevania. Lots of good tunes. A myriad of them.

I would have to say Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. The soundtrack is composed almost entirely for string quartet, and captures the archaic and mournful elements of the game world. It's one of my favourites, and I still listen to it outside of the game. Morrowind. Jeremy Soule is amazing. Rise of Nerevar is the best (main theme). I got it stuck in my head now, and I dont mind.
