I'll give you three of my recent favourites. For some reason they are all French:
A Town Called Panic
A comedy made through the animation of little lead toys. The story kicks off with Horse's birthday. Cowboy and Indian decide to build him a BBQ pit as a present, but accidentally order 50 million more bricks than they need. What follows is a clusterfuck of a movie with kungfu scientists, giant robot penguins, thieving frogmen, and [link=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ft7-yG35Ugw]the loudest farmer in the world.[/url]
Kirikou and the Sorceress
A baby is born who, on the moment of coming out the womb, starts a conversation with his own mum. This is Kirikou, a weirdly gifted boy who becomes the hero of an African folk story. His village is beset by a sorceress, who sort of resembles Maleficent but with bigger tits. She's the coolest looking villain I've seen in an animated movie and she takes shit from no one.
April and the Extraordinary World
Styled after classic French comic books, April is set in an alternative vision of 1930s France, where all the major scientists have gone into hiding, and the nation is in perpetual smog from constant coal fires. It's a fun little action adventure that is a must watch for anyone who is a fan of the stories of Adele Blanc Sec.
