Yeah, thats basically what others have said as well. I'll go see it this weekend I suppose. I'll just tune Cera out. Or at least try to. His voice somehow pierces my brain and hits the "so annoying I want to kill" section of said brain.
Do so. It's worth seeing, sure. But I'm gonna have to disagree when MovieBob said it was one of the best of the year.

Good, yes. But anything with Michael Cera can't be considered the "best" of anything.

I've seen people debate over whether Inception or Scott Pilgrim was better.

This doesn't hold a candle to Inception.

True enough I suppose. It makes me feel bad too, because instead of this movie I went to see The Expendables.

I wasn't even expecting anything spectacular out of it. All I was expecting was some great action scenes, and it managed to fail at that. A movie with basically every action star, and it still managed to be complete ass. Its kind of amazing in a way...

I was absolutely blown away at The Expendables.

At least, how much it sucked. How can a movie with every action star still manage to not have one decent action sequences throughout? I mean, I could forgive the horrendous dialog and even the crap story and completely lame villain, but not even a good action scene? Really Stallone??

Clockstoppers. And other 80s and 90s movies. (Wait, I think Clockstoppers was made in 2001?)
Some of them are SO BAD, yet SO FUN.

Spy Kids, anyone?

Commando with Arnold Schwarznegger, the movie is so cheesy but the way the lines are delivered are amazingly funny.

I know. I wasn't expecting good dialog, good story, or lame characters, but with every action star today in that film? I expect some damn good action scenes. And the fact that it failed at that makes me very, very sad.

Especially since I loved Stallone's last Rambo picture a lot. I thought that was well done and had great action.

Good characters, fucking awesome villains you wanted to see die in the most brutal way and badass action.

I still dont' get how the Expendables failed on so many levels.

Well the Shaky Cam certainly didn't help things.
Seriously, I want to punch the guy who thought Shaky Cam was a good idea.

Take it up with the dipshit who made those Bourne movies.

Why did everyone like those so much? They just made me sick.

Oh I don't know, I guess because it appears "realistic" or some stupid crap like that. But thats a whole 'nother can of worms I'd rather not open. Its almost 2AM and I need to get up early tomorrow. Or today I guess >.>
