No. I mean really the thing was announced as a trilogy, it's pretty clear that the the overarching plot is "Desmond learns the skills of his super-assassin ancestors and uses them to thwart the templars in the present". It wasn't much of a surprise at all, if you were paying attention especially to the "present" bits (Actually 2012).mokes310 said:How has no one put Assassin's Creed in here? That ending was a bitchslap from here to eternity! Not to mention, a pretty severe "OH SNAP" moment...
True, but I went into that game knowing next to nothing. I just rented it, played through it really quickly, enjoyed it and the story, then, when it ended, I yelled "WHAT THE F*CK!!!" It was only after I finished the game that I learned that it was going to be a trilogy, but still, some closure or setup for the next title would have been nice, know what I mean?GloatingSwine said:No. I mean really the thing was announced as a trilogy, it's pretty clear that the the overarching plot is "Desmond learns the skills of his super-assassin ancestors and uses them to thwart the templars in the present". Well, she actually worked for China all along. The Metal Gear games are pretty good at this though. A lot of plot twists you never see coming.songnar said:Pick a Metal Gear game. Any Metal Gear game.
Still have to say my favorite would be MGS3, though, when you find out EVA has defected to China, sort'a.
Ah yes, the firstshiajun said:Indigo Prophecy for US, Fahrenheit rest of the world. That game just suddenly turned a perfectly good thrilling and emotional story into bizarre amateur hollywood C list crap, in like....one scene, about two thirds in, involving a certain "connected" vision. It just goes completely loopy after that. That definetely is my number one "oh snap!" moment.
