Best one on one in an anime.

A few few weeks ago, a friend told me that the Gara/Rock Lee fight in Naruto was the best single anime fight he had ever seen. Considering what a connoisseur he was, this was saying something. Now, I have just got my breath back from watching said fight. Quite possibly he is right, but there must be better ones.

Although it is way too short, the Mugen/Jin fight in episode one of Samurai Champloo was great.

I also thought the extended fight between the team of Kiba, Choji, Shikamaru, and Neji, vs. the Sound Four [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Naruto_antagonists#Sound_Four] was the highlight of the entire series (it's technically four one-one-one battles), though the Rock Lee "Drunken Fist" Jackie Chan shout-out had me laughing through the entire fight.

Hmm, give me a moment on this one...

Ichigo vs. Renji before either reaches bonkai (Round 2, if you counted the thrashing Renji gave Ichigo in the world of the living), that one was epic, it's one of the best I've seen,

The Rock Lee drunken fight is one of the best, although I'm not such a big fan of the fighting scenes in Animes.

I also like Lee's drunken fight, but I thought that the fight with Gaara was better.

Personally, I dug the Sasuke vs Orochimaru battle during the chunin exams, though I have to admit that the Gaara/Lee fight gave me shivers the pwnage at the end kinda broke it though.
also, Jubei vs Mujuro (the blind guy) in Ninja Scroll was well done.

I see that I stand alone when I say that Death Note has the ultimate one on one battle

ah well, most people don't consider it a fight unless you're incorperating violence... but whatever, I stand by my decision with the greatest battle being between L and Kira

Buso Renkin, in general, has good one on one fights. Specifically, Bravo v. Kazuki (both of the fights).

The final fight in s-CRY-ed is amazing, though very DBZ inspired.

I'm ashamed to say it, but the Yonbi-Naruto v Orochimaru fight is cool.

Anything in Tsukihime. The fights aren't long, but they are good. Though, for the record, the manga is better.

Anything where it's Alucard v someone else in "Hellsing: Ultimate,"which sticks much closer to the manga then the original anime.
