Probably Forza 2 or GTA. Quake 3 is rather good also, especially for a browser game.

I tend to enjoy L4D quite a bit. And I like Halo 3 too. Although both experiences are a lot better if you bring some friends with you.

Strangely enough, the most fun I've had online has been on LittleBigPlanet. I think 2 strangers and I spent half an hour slapping and stickering each other before we even considered playing an actual level. Good times all round. Not to my habit of dressing my Sackboy in green with ragged pants, sending a text message saying "HULK SMASH!!!" then pimp-slapping everyone within striking distance became a favourite among my online friends.

Meh, I don't think it's that great.

Personally I reckon Call of Duty: United Offensive was excellent. I played that for a full year.
