I liked the opening to Inglorious Bastards but the top one for me is Mirror Mask since it pretty much tells the story without you realizing it.

Major Payne. Would you really expect a child-friendly comedy to start in the middle of a war?

Have to say that Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Basterds hold the top in my book, but I also loved the beginning of Thank You for Smoking. Boondock Saints also holds a place dear to my heart.

28 Weeks Later [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ap4xoKs1eY] also has my most memorable Opening scene. Sure the movie barely holds a candle to the prequel (28 Days Later) but I just loved the build-up to this intense zombie madness.

I like the opening scene to The Hangover. If it's your first time seeing it, it gives such a badass tone that you almost feel as though you walked into a completely different movie.

Serenity comes to mind, but then again I thought the entire movie was memorable.

I hate the FUCKING movie, disgracing the movie series and all fans of the first two movies but Spiderman 3, the opening cinematic is UBER epic, with recapping the last two movies with the epic music. I'd watch the movie again JUST to see the intro credits.

I still hated the film.

UP was the best recently, but nothing tops...
where you aware that Francis ford Coppola actually got him SUPER drunk and made him do this scene.

anyways the BEST opening scene of a movie was when Leon Scott Kennedy walked into the mysterious village with only 1 clip of ammunition and had to survive for about 5-10 minutes... o wait that wasn't a movie

Lord of War. Where it follows the single bullet through its production and eventual use.

Daybreakers. A vampire girl committing suicide by going out into the sunlight and screaming like Hell while burning... Epic...

The only one I can think of at the moment (because I just re-read the book) would be the opening scene to Watchmen. I think that the choice of music in the opening was awesome.
