Why not just say single player? It makes it so much easier.

I shall simply say my favorite game. Shadow of the Colossus.

well, I liked the Bad Company campaign, for being so damn funny, and having tanks, two things MW couldn't provide.

I don't get it, do you mean like overall story driven singleplayer?

All singleplayer?

that's the entire game. what game did you think had the best campaign/main quest line, with possibility to do other shit, like multiplayer in a shooter, or the mainquest in Fallout.

The level in The Matrix: Path of Neo where everything is upside-down (or in a different weird angle) and where you have to fight Ants :D

the best for me it is a toss up between two games
1) Shadow of the Colossus
2) Zone of the Enders 2: The Second Runner

Im going to get called out for this, but Crash Bandicoot 3 and Crash Team Racing.

It might not have graphics or a notable storyline, but it had something that most modern games don't have, heart. I wasn't racing to get all the crystals because i had to, i was getting them to save Crash's World because i wanted to and cared.

This topic probably has been done before.
But I gotta say that Guitar Hero isn't much fun on single-player.

A campaign is a continuing storyline or set of adventures, typically involving the same characters. The purpose of the continuing storyline is to introduce a further aspect into the game: that of development, improvement, and growth (or degeneration) of the characters.
Hence, SotC's storyline can be categorized as a campaign.

Hey, there are timed challenges, so there are possibilities to do other things. Or, well, the same thing but faster.

Halo ODST just didn't do it for me. I didn't care what happened to the characters. I though that Assassins Creed got repetitive as well.

I did like the campaigns for just about any Pokemon game (although they are pretty much the same) except Diamond and Pearl.

Most of the Medal of Honors and Call of Duty games had great single player as well, although Call of Duty 5 had good Co-op.

I have to agree with Blackadder 51, the Crash Team Racing games also got me drawn in very quickly, as did Crash Bash

Alundra one is probably my favourite game though it is hard to put a definite favourite (The God of Wars are close to winning).
Least favourite game... Anything with zombies as the main feature really.

I'm going to say it right now, Team Fortress 2 is terrible on single player.

As far as best, I'm going to have to go with Mass Effect 2. OK, so the control scheme wasn't quite up to par with most modern Third Person Shooters, but it had amazing writing, an interesting story, characters who I gave two shits about, AND competent gameplay. Bioware effectively kept everything I loved about the first one (you know, besides half my party), and rounded out the gameplay to be playable. It really resonated well for me, but I suppose if ME1 managed to be my favorite game up until ME2 came out, then a positive re-working of the combat system and leaving everything that was good good would manage to make an impression.
