If you have a nintendo 64 the first 3 are good, otherwise your right.

aside from that, SSBB, Mario Kart Wii, CoD4, and sometimes Halo3.

Umm, no not really. Unless you include super smash bros on the N64 (best game and system ever)

Hmm, I have System Linked 4 X-Box's and played Halo 3 online, that was beast, so, I guess Halo 3 can count as one? idk, GoW is awesome too...

That would be amazing. i envy your multiple X-box's and apparent mass amounts of wealth.

My favorites for all time are Goldeneye/Perfect Dark (N64) and Super Smash Brothers Melee (GC). These days, I'd have to say rock band, but that's mostly born out of the fact that there don't seem to be too many games made these days that let four people play on the same system and I don't have the kind of time to try and set up a meet where everyone brings a console to a central location to play.

Oh damn, you're talking about video games. And here I was getting all excited about Goon of Fortune.

Mario Party is always good as long as you can have fun sabotaging others for fun. Mario Kart guarantees lots of yelling including "You wouldn't have won if u didn't get that blue shell" only to be replied by "Oh yeah whatever helps you sleep at night." Halo 3 is another good one mentioned so Keep in mind Shooting, Cartoon Racing and Mario. That about gets Party out the way.

super puzzle fighter 2: turbo. best, hands down. even tho it's only 1 vs. 1, its one of the few videogames i've found people enjoy watching while they're waiting for a turn to play. it's graphics, sound and tetris-esque premise are cute enough while its gameplay is competitive enough to draw in just about everyone, even non-gamers.

rez was always a favorite (especially once everyone was nicely drunk / high) because of the music + visuals. the problem with it was that people would invariably end up dancing in my living room to it's music and crowd-out the player's view of the telly. (this may or may not be considered a problem for you.) that happened with wipeout games, too.

marvel vs. capcom 2 was pretty epic with a gang of folks, too. (any 2D fighter with 2 vs. 2 / 3 vs. 3 action is pretty fun, tho.) its wise to avoid serving tequila at parties where fighters will be played unless you want someone to break your coffee table.

the worst party game i ever tried was attempting to show my mates how "awesome" shenmue was. that went over like a loaded diaper.

(can you tell the last console i owned was a dreamcast?)

He didn't say he owned all of them; he said he has played with 4 Xboxes over a system link. So have I.

Guitar Hero/Rock Band is excellent for just about anyone, as is DDR.
Super Smash is also great, because it allows you to beat up on something with 3 other people.
Mario Kart...yeah, that's self-explanatory.

And apparently the new Geometry Wars is fun at parties (according to Gamespot) because of the local multiplayer. You can play cooperatively, competitively, or you can even have one person control the ship while the other controls the guns. Crazy.

Starcraft? lol.

Parties I go to don't really have games, unless you count some fucktarded drunks trying to do through the fire and flames and failing the intro about 17 times...

Guitar Hero (WT) and Rock Band are usually number 1, but people still play SSBB and Mario Kart and such.

I think Quake is a great party game, but I guess that's just my personal friends.

I enjoy a nice halo (THE FIRST ONE!!) or starcraft LAN match, but any super smash bros game, Goldeneye 64, or zombies on halo are fun too.
If nazi zombies on CoD5 supported 4 player splitscreen, it would definitely be up there too.

I have fun with almost any game at a party but other than Rock Band/Guitar Hero the best one(s) I can think of is Super Smash Bros. for a party-type game

I have really fond memories of staying up all night playing Bomberman with my friends.

Mario Party didn't work as well when you figured out how to cheat. There's one game where both players have to hit the a button at the same time. Or you could take your friends controller and use both hands to beat it in a few seconds. My friends got pretty mad at me for that.
