Best PC FPS's?

Anything with a valve labell on it (not a big fan of CS, but each to their own)
Billions of half life 2 mods, I'd recommend Dystopia and insurgancy
CoD series, except 3 and 5 (older is better other than 3, 3 was a joke)
Unreal series (didn't like UT3, but other than that I enjoyed them all)
Anything ID software. I liked doom3, but the real gems are the old games, wolf 3d, doom etc
Quake is generally well liked.
Farcry/farcry 2/ crysis. All good games, I'll group them together.
I liked MoH:airborne (that's the only medal of honour game I've liked since the ps1)
Stalker series is generally well liked, although it is a bit buggy
battlefeild series is well liked, although I don't enjoy playing it unmodded.
alien vs predator series
prey
bioshock/system shock. probably prefered the latter but bioshock is generally well liked as well.

That's all I can think of for now, that should keep you entertained for more than a while.

I bet 90% of the posts will be the same.

That said, I won't post the big thing I do on every other Best FPS thread, and I'll just say Unreal Tournament.

Half-Life. Call of Duty (the entire series, minus World At War). System Shock 2. Deus Ex. Duke Nukem 3D. F.E.A.R.. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky. Doom (the entire series). Prey. Brothers In Arms: Road To Hill 30.

Those are most of the older ones that I can think of that are worth a mention. I could list a bunch more, and a ton more if you included new stuff, but those are all big ones that I can think of right now.

If your ok with graphics being substituted for good gameplay yourll love System Shock 2/Deus Ex. I played Deus Ex afew years ago and is one of the best games ive ever played.

Im only just at the moment playing through System Shock 2 and finding it so much better than Bioshock, which is a game I loved immensly.

Multiplayer wise though, its gotta be Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 2 & 4.

Get the orange box, and you get Halflife 2, half life 2 episode 1, half life 2 episode 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2. All awesome games in their own right.

Also, I had lots of fun with DOOM 3 as well as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

I'd say Team Fortress 2 as it has the fun element to it as well as being a good quality FPS
