White. Each iteration adds more complexity to the competitive game, so I will always go with the most recent one.

I can understand people who think that the original ones were best, but nobody in the competitive community feels that way.
Are you happy with the amount of pokemon or do you think its too much? :)
Both.

Each time they add viable new Pokemon to the game it increases the variety of the teams that you will face in competitive play, which makes it infinitely more interesting.

However, the "joke" Pokemon and the fan favorites that after 5 generations they refuse to make better (Flareon comes to mind) really serve no other purpose than increasing the collection aspect of the game and opening it up for merchandising.
Fair enough, you make good points sir! :)

2nd Gen Gold/Silver
1st Gen Red/Blue(Green)
5th Gen Black/White
3rd Gen Ruby/Sapphire
4th Gen Diamond/Pearl

gold/silver; despite having the worst starters IMO. just goes to show how good it was i guess; aside from starters, the other pokemon were all neat, getting to ho-oh was a fun challenge, and you effectively got to fight YOURSELF from the past game, which was a really awesome mindscrewy kind of moment.

Black is pretty intense. I'm digging it.
What about it do you like most? :)
The constant animation of the sprites, the moving camera, the rotation battles, the triple battles, the new moves, the new Pokemon, the increased strategy... honestly, I love everything about it.

Pokemon crystal by far.

Played it for almost 300 hours, and I ordered it again of amazon tonight.

Nothing beats nostalgia... ever.

Tough, a toss-up between Ruby/Sapphire for it's change from the "traditional" mountainous plains to the more tropical Island setting. Plus Torchic is adorable, Treeko is a blade-wielding gecko, and I liek Mudkipz. But White is also close, if not beating Gen. 3.

Yes, the overall design, look wise, the first two dual-type starters in the game, the idea of specialized moves (Muddy Water, Leaf Blade, and Blaze-Kick; although it is possible for some Gen. 5's to learn them T_T) to give the starters and even more unique edge, and just the general feeling of actually saving the Island and it's outlaying areas (as opposed to stopping the Mob) give it the more "epic" type of feel.

I sure am ;D yeah they were pretty cool stuff werent they *looks back nostalgically* :p
I'm ashamed to say that I used an Action Replay on my White version before beating it (and my friends chastized me for a week over it), but I just couldn't stand not being able to train up a Mudkip for one more game, and I really, REALLY hated the fact that you couldn't get older-gen Pokemon until after you get the NP, so I used my AR to get a Mudkip in the patch of grass near the starter town. Caught it at level four, so it wasn't that much weaker than my Osawatt (which I nicknamed Canada for some reason). I then proceeded to neglect Oshawatt, and I now use it as cannon fodder.

Trust me, it deserved it. It wrecked my room! (although that WAS partially Bianca's fault. Darn NPC characters!)

Changing to another topic, is it just me, or are the Plasmas not only stupider than the Aquas and Magmas, not only stupider than the Rockets,

Heck, is it just me, or is Team Plasma even stupider than Team Galactic? (not to mention the worst-dressed set of bad guys in the series so fat?)
