Someone mentioned 'Hogs of War'. I almost forgot that game. It was basically a funny, well done 3D worms.

I would also metion oddworld abe's oddysee and exoddus, but they are on PSN and don't actually need updating.

Hmm... Hogs of War springs to mind on seeing the thread title (That game is awesome)

Though after reading some posts Parasite Eve would also be up there (If I could find it I'd be playing it now, but instead I have to wait for my brother to wake up to get it)

Also Final Fantasy VIII due to the fact that it's the only FF game for the PS1 that I cannot play due to my disk 1 and disk 3 being too badly scratched (And no games store that I can get to has a copy...)

Might like to see a remake of Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 just to see how much I can scare myself by playing them alone, at night and in High Definition..

all final fantasy and all suikoden games on the psx.

Definitely the Suikoden series...some of the FF games, not all (like 8 can stay as it is).

Final Fantasy IX

Yeah, there's Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII, Legend of Dragoon and Suikoden, Chrono Cross and Xenogears, Valkyrie Profile and Vagrant Story...

But of all those titles (and yes, before you bash on me, I've played them all) Final Fantasy IX definitely had the most epic environments. The castle within a city within a fortress Lindblum? Imagine that one all built up out of polygons. The unbelievably gigantic tree infested with zombies (and zombie dragons!) known as the Lifa Tree? Yeah, I'd pay to see that one in HD glory.
Burmecia, the realm of eternal rain;
Cleyra the nation residing entirely inside the top of a tree surrounded by a sandy vortex;
The unworldly Terra;
The upside down Ipsen's Castle.

In the end, tho only new thing a remake true to its roots has to offer, are better graphics (and in this case, voice-overs). So yeah, I'd go for the one that is visually most interesting.

I haven't played many, but I'll just go for the two that would please the fans the most: FF7 and Metal Gear Solid. Heck, I did play FF7, and I would have enjoyed it a lot more if the characters didn't look like Lego minifigures on the overworld...

Not the best, but I would love a modern remake of Future Cop: LAPD. The Precinct Assault mode was crazy addictive.

Ace Combat 3.

A stranger choice, but now even Namco admits that maybe it was a bad idea to cut out all the story and perhaps a third of the game for the non-Japanese releases.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Dino Crisis remake. Actually I'd prefer for them to make a new Dino Crisis but a little more like the original. The third game pretty much killed off the series which is a shame because the first game was scary as hell and I think the series could have been pretty good even if it was a Resident Evil knock-off (at first).
