I played it to death and lurked on message boards about it when I wasn't playing it. I knew that city so well I was basically GPS for my friends when they played it.

While not "the best" I played it till death. (yeah that's right, my soul types this message)
Then again, everyone will have another opinion about a game being "the best".
As Kessen 2 and Final Fantasy 10 were also very great. (in my book).

Rogue Galaxy is the proto-typical JRPG plotline with a Star Wars (New Hope) flair.

Probably the best example of a JRPG done right.
