I mean, if someone starts attacking other countries, you should probably step in and help the one you think is in the right.
Which, in my opinion, would more often than not be the poor nation being kicked around by the rich nation.
Help that fucker out. Sometimes it's better for everyone involved to, y'know, tell the bully to fuck off.
Basically the WWII reason

The only good reason for war is to preserve freedom!
I came across a quote somewhere about that:

"Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity".

I don't know said it, though.

I'd start a war with Sweden, just to see what they'd do.
Peace and Freedom are different and possibly opposite you can have peace with oppression but not with freedom. A person can choose to do whatever he wants if he willing to accept the consequences, if that includes disturbing peace then that is up to him/her.

Sweden would drop the alps on you!

None. Few concieveable if any reasons to start a war. Only acceptable way to get invovled in a war is to finish it.
Yeah, that sounds about right. America I think had that idea in WWI, but now..... well, you know.

Oppression.

EDIT: Ideally no war but if we're talking about an oppressed people whose government uses relentless force and brutality to deny basic rights then you could justify a war against them.

Naturally this would only be acceptable once all diplomatic routes were exhausted.

War.....war has changed.

Anyway, to save the world! Duh. I mean, I'm pretty sure every nation would all agree that saving the world is a good thing.

When it is necessary to keep some semblance of order in the world. And I don't mean "to bring democracy" like bush put it, I meant to really bring democracy, to a people that would truly benefit from it, and for no other reason. Or WWII, there was a good reason, when a dictator invades everybody and seems to be the kind that'll kill ya for not following him, it's time to stand up.
