Wait. Since when did Bethesda put out a good game? Maybe Morrowwind but thats it. The rest are actually shit whose only saving grace is their fan mods.

That's funny, last I checked people could enjoy whatever games they like. Fallout 3, Morrowind and Oblivion were all fun. And maybe people like Bioware because they make good games.

OT: BioWare. KotOR was the first RPG I played, and I loved every second of it. Oh, and Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age and Mass Effect are all great, too.

I'm one of those people who take the Bioware Vs. Bethesda route, so I find it difficult to choose between the two. If forced, I would say Bioware.

Hmm. Iv heard of that vampire game i might check it out. "Deemed too awesome" seems to happen allot doesn't it like say system shock and Black isle. Personally i love Bethesda allot and would probably kill someone if the elder scrolls 5 got canceled.

Bloodlines is probably in my top 3 rpgs of all time. To date, it is the only rpg I've gone back and played again. I love it. It's buggy though, Troika had a bad habit of releasing flawed perfection, if you catch my drift. Not unlike Obsidian or how some people feel about Bethesda.

Square Enix, to be honest.

Enix can burn in hell, Square made the best FF games and no I do not count 7 because only 8 and 9 were any good in the 3d models and 6 was epic as the last of the top downs. After Enix was stapled onto Square like an infected limb the series went downhill with 10 - 12, havent tried 13 but Im going to assume it did what 10 did and focused more on being pretty than being deep.

As for who i think is the modern best?
For MMORPGS - Mythic
for Single Player - Bioware

I say Bioware based on Dragon Age, Kotor 1 and 2 and I aint played Mass effect yet but apperently it was meant to be Kotor 3 before they changed the story around.

I was always partial to Level 5's titles really. Ever since Dark Chronicle with it's mix of gorgeous gameplay and music, their titles always struck gold with me....although I did find White Knight Chronicles lacking that certain je ne sais quoi that I can't put my finger on
