If I'm allowed a combo, then easily the psycic towers/ an army of yuri clones in Yuri's revenge, combined with a grinder, free resources and units, don't mind if I do.
If not I'd probably choose the psychic dominator or any superweapon.

Either the Ion Cannon, the GDI commando, or the ten-mammoth steamroll.

Or Sauron.

Yeah, definately Sauron.

As for most awesome weapon, that would have to be Red Alert 3's Bullfrog.
Why, I hear you ask? Because it can bloody well launch bears that then drop from parachutes!

The 'best' weapon though would be the Genetic Mutator from Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge. It doesn't just cause massive damage to all buildings, but it also transforms all infantry into The Incredible Hulk. Simultaneously. Wow.

Any of the superweapons from the Red Alert series, or hero units from RA2/YR.

I don't think the Genetic Mutator damages buildings. The Psychic Dominator is Yuri's base-killing superweapon.

Certainly not the best unit, but one of my favs is the Banshee from Starcraft 2. I love harassing with it. =D
Also the Collosus, just because it's such an epic homage to HG Wells.

Supreme Commander 1 Fatboy...
It's a fucking battleship on treads...
With its own shield generator...
And AA turrets...
And Gunship refuling stations...
And it's got its own factory to make more tanks...

Thar you go...

Oh wait, I totally forgot the Experimental Artillary! Why? Because it literally takes an hour to build...
But once you get one (forget two, two is an instant game win) it can take out your opponants base, even though it's deep in the bowels of yours...

Did I forget to mention that it has an almost automatic rate of fire?

I can go on and on about other Supreme Commander one and two units, but these seemed to be the most powerful...
You bring me good memories sir! It takes very long to make those.

OT:

From the Dawn Of War games, the ORBITAL BOMBARDMENT

Screw the nuke, this the BOMB.

So I was walkin' around the neighbourhood when some punks decided to hit me in the head with a 2 x 4. I immediately go home and decide to visit the Escapist. This is beside the point. I have come to ask the Escapist, what is their favourite weapon... FROM AN RTS?! Now, this can include artillery, or melee weapons, you guys can even debate what weapon would beat the other ones. My favourite is the melee attack from a Zergling. Very basic, yet can be upgraded to be devastating.
Nice going OP. Even before I opened the thread to post my initial thought was on the zerglings. There is nothing quite as fun as pumping up 9-15 Hives, getting a nice mineral income going and just produce zerglings till the enemies drown in an ocean of them...I love it.

It has to be the M7 Priest from Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts.

Its basically a British 105mm Howitzer on a tank, and it can blow the ever-loving shit out of pretty much anything on the map. Get a few of them and make a proper bombardment, and the amount of stuff you will fuck up is a sight to behold.

Creeping Barrage!

I had six artillery emplacements set up the other night, and had set them up all in range of the enemy base. I somewhat drew the British flag over their HQ (up, down, left, right, two diagonals) with creeping barrages, all at once. It was.. poetic.

Tanya from Red Alert. She can instantly kill and destroy every single enemy unit and building, so long as you protect her from tanks.
Actually, Red Alert 3 and the expansion of two let her C4 Tanks too.

In the same game series, but in Tiberium Wars, one of the Nod levels had these Juggernauts that were modified to be able to attack quite litterally half-way accross a gigantic map. If you captured them, YOU got the same bonus, so could just sit back and watch the opposing forces slowly crumble.

Probably one of the supreme commander experimentals, such as the Scathis rapid-fire artillery, it has six large cannons which would quickly fill the skies above my enemy with lots and lots of artillery shells. And then there?s the spiderbot with its big red laser of near instant death in the first game, but not as much instant death in the expansion...

I kinda like these from Red Alert

Get like 3 of them in the air and you could destory an enemy base in secounds, plus they could take a large amount of abuse.

Wait... now I think about it...

Nah. These were better!
