*Looks at Asimov's shelf*

Reach and grab one. All amazing.

Also, Ray Bradbury has some serious amazing short stories.

I was gonna read it the the cover made the book look like it was for 4th graders but I saw it in Barnes and Noble a few days ago and the cover looked a lot more mature almost Mass Effect-ish in a way. Next time I go to the library I gonna give it a chance.

Foundation series FTW!!

And most of William Gibson's stuff. (Really need to get round to reading Neal Stephenson's books...)

Honestly?
Probably either Ringworld, although I barely got into it, or anything by Larry Niven.
Special mention goes to Have Spacesuit, Will Travel, though.
That book was one of the best things I read in fifth grade, along with...

It's really worth reading. Don't be put off by the few first few chapters. The main characters may physically be children, but mentally they're as cynical as they come.

And another thing-
Are you carrying your towel?

Yup right around my shoulder where it always is and I don't mind reading books for younger people but the cover on the book looked like something from my elementary school library. Alex rider was good if you've ever heard on it.

I really loved Starship Troopers, just excellent writing and great characters. It also has some great ideas on politics thrown in.

Ender's Game was actually written for adults. It's mildly perplexing to why the characters are children, but it's really worth reading. They aren't anything like children.
Yeah, I've read all the Alex Rider books. Good series, though the last one was fairly depressing.

Dune! Frank Herbert's classic is one of the greatest examples of sci-fi there is: it should be to sci-fi what The Lord of the Rings is to fantasy.

A lot of Philip K. Dick's novels...If I had to choose though, It'd probably have to be A Scanner Darkly.

Although that's coming from someone who hasn't touched his copies of Dune or Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy yet.

Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds. Relatively hard sci-fi with great story telling. Black, bleak, sharp writing with great characters.

I haven't gotten to read the last one yet beyond the description but they made it sound like he was going to die and I would have rather have had that remain a surprise but whatevs.
