Dune is awesome, though I don't like any of the series other than the first and the adaptations have been pretty weak. Star Wars originals also up there, along with one or two of the games.

Others in small doses, SG-1, Terminator (first two), Star Trek (very small doses!)

Still haven't got around to reading Enders Game.

Normally I'd say Star Wars, but I'm trying to stay away from the obvious answers. In a really close second, I'd have to go with Firefly and It's sequel movie thingy Serenity. The world it pressents is fresh, original, and just plain cool. The characters are all well thought out, whole people rather than just stereotypes of "brash pilot", "plucky forst mate", "token hot girl", etc. Plus, the reavers were a great idea that if the series progressed, would've made for some rocking conflicts. So yeah, there ya go, my choice and some reasons. I could go on but I don't want to bore you.
