Stargate Atlantis Season 3 FInale (and the two parter after it.)

The Apollo arrives and launces a first strike on the Replicator homeworld to stop the construction of Aurora class warships, after they return to atlantis a mysterious satelite drops out of hyperspace, the stargate lodged in activated and targets Atlantis. Because the gate is powered by an infinite power source the gate won't shut down. The satelite is also shielded.

After attempting to submerge the city they eventually try to launch the city (which is also a ship) to go to another planet. But right after takeoff, the ship drops out of hyperspace and they are stranded in the middle of nowhere.

I quite like the last Heroes one (volume 4) but it was somewhat ruined by the start of volume 5 why can't they just let it stop

The ending of Heroes season one was absolutely spectacular in my opinion. And House seasons four and five both had pretty fantastic final episodes; I can't watch Wilson's Heart without tearing up.

I have to agree with you on the stargate. The lost city inseries 7 was a great finale, the last episode of series five of atlantis was amazing, i think it was called enemy at the gates but i'm not to sure.
Battlestar Galactica series 1 finale was pretty cool as well

Series finale of Life on mars gets my vote for the strangest one.

He wakes up and you find out that he wasn't from 2008 or 1973 but actually from 2036 and on a spaceship going to mars. His simulator broke and sent him back in time futher than from where he chose it too, but let him keep his 2008 memories.

In regards to this season of shows I think The Sarah Connor Chronicles was hands down the most "wtf omg wtb moar" moments and hits home even harder by the fact that the series was canceled.
