Best Third Person Shooter Ever

So there's a thread about the best FPS, but what about the TPSs? Don't they deserve any love?

The first Gears of War is my all time favorite TPS, what about you guys?

if it wasn't for the ratchet and Clank series

Gears of War 2. I see R&C as more of a platformer. Uncharted 2 a close second as that is also a platformer.

Mmm true. The second one especially dropped the ball when it comes to the story.

I don't really like GoW and I can't stand Uncharted 2.

Mass Effect 2 or Jak & Daxter. (Though that is kind of a stretch)

Uncharted 2 for the whole package, but if you care about gameplay only, Gears Of War 2 is probably the better-playing one.

gonna go fanboy here and say socom 2, that game i have poured the most hours into in my whole life, i had the multiplayer down like it was no ones business, and it actually hate mute/boot options plus custom games that actually counted, it was amazing and the golden age of ps2 army shooters online.

For me, it's a tie between the two newer RE titles (4 and 5) and the Mass Effect Series. Action-packed and a lot of fun, they presented what I needed to enjoy the experience.
