Say what you want to say about the music, but the trailer was unquestionably ace.

I'll go with Warcraft 3's trailer. Always made me excited about the game.
If the opening for Left 4 Dead counts, then that would be the runner up for different reasons.

And I just saw the new GOW3 trailer.........I never really unleash the roaring manbeast inside me, but FUCKING HELL THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!

The best trailers perfectly convey a movie's story and mood without giving anything away, and evoke your "holy shit that's awesome" gland by timing the trailer to the beat of the trailer music.

This is my all time favourite trailer ever. Had me drooling over the movie since the trailer aired.

This, this, a thousand times this. It's just so perfect. It's twice as good as the original Mass Effect 1 launch trailer and three times as epic. I get chills every time I watch it.

I also love the epic launch day trailer for Mass Effect 2 and the immersive 1st person trailers for both Bioshock 1 & 2. However the one that tops them all is this trailer for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles [http://www.gametrailers.com/video/experience-the-resident-evil/57808]. Never played the game and never will, but this is one epic trailer.
