What is your favourite TV show intro?

Although, I like The Mighty Boosh. I don't think it's intro is the strongest.

The Kids in the Hall opening.

Strong melody, everyone's introduced by face and name. It's show them in a natural way. I wouldn't have thought of this but Pedro's right.

I'll throw Scrubs into the mix. It's got a catchy song. It's only 4 lines so it's quick. No one wants a symphony. Get with the programme.


Sopranos was good the first few times. It introduced the idea of what he controlled, but by mid season, always skipped.
The West Wing for arm waving conductability.

Atlantis Season 2 onwards the flybys they do with both the Jumper and the Dedalus are perfectly timed with the music also the wraith walking towards the camera which then fades to cities main tower in the midst of a huge battle is pretty cool.

Gunslinger Girl: Very good song by a Scottish Band called The Delgados also very very twisted visuals. You're sat there thinking ahh poor girls all lost and alone then she pulls out this P40 arms it like a pro and then has at it.

I'm a fan of the Robot Chicken intro if only because it is done by Les Claypool, but in a similar vein as the Kids in the Hall intro is the State intro.

I also love the Cowboy Bebop song and that alone is enough, but to have cool animated space sequences is just about the tops.

As for the futurama intro, it's good, but have you seen the intro scene to The Beast with a Billion Backs? It's frickin' brilliant! Just watch it, I'm sure they have it on yourtubes or bytetorrents or sommat of your newfangled downloady funzones. (I'd find a link but honestly I think youtube is total drek. Anyone of any worth should get their own page. OK, that's harsh, but damn I hate youtube.)
