TV intros are important, they put us in the mood to watch specific shows and a good intro can catch your attention instantly and have you singing/humming in your day to day lives, so post your favourite TV intros and explain why you think they deserve a place on this thread.

Firstly, the intro to M.A.S.H. This was literally THE TV show for around 11 years during the 70/80s

The Big Bang Theory has one of those intros that I can't help but sing along too, me and my fiancee just bob from side to side while it plays...

The list wouldn't be complete without a bitchin' orchestral track ala Stargate SG1, I hum this one all the time...

This one just fits the series so well. Ghost in the Shell, Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG.

And my personal favourite, Outlaw Star. The catchiest tune of the lot...

naruto has ALOT of good openings... but this one is my fav :p

Death Note <3 introduced me to maximum the hormone :D

Deadliest Catch S6... was a sad season for those who lived it and us who watched it. But damn i love that intro and a fine tribute to Phil

There are no intros where I live.

We USED to get a shortened theme before cutting to 5 min of commercials, but now they skip the theme entirely to make room for more commercials. I'd have to say that the longest intro I've seen for a modern show is for Law & Order.

Dexter. The intro is so perfect for that show! It tells you all you need to know about his repressed urges. The music is killer(heh).

I'll see you the Shippuden opening with Opening 6. Why? because Akatsuki is just pure Badass at the end
