that was my first thought. whether we still like it or not today, this has to be the best opening. i mean the fact that YOU yourself reading this knows every word if the tune started up, means that it was the best.

They're all in Spanish, so they don't work for me on a nostalgic level T-T

I can't visit YouTube at work, but I'd like to throw in a vote for True Blood's "Bad Things" opening. The imagery does a good job of setting up the tone of the world the story is set in, and the tune is catchy as hell.

I wasn't surprised when I found out it was arranged by the same guy who made the opening for Dexter, which is also great.

OT: I like the intro to the first season of Stand Alone Complex. It's good music to program to as well.

I'm gonna saaaay...Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, The Wire. Those are shows I never skip the intro on. It's almost part of the ritual of watching an episode. It slides you out of your world and into the world of the show. Esp the case with The Wire. Bebop is just a f**king great song, and GITS is damn cool to watch, but skipping the theme song on The Wire would be like taking out the DVD and pissing on it.
