Probably the game of Life. Been going straight some 30+ years now. Plus, I get to play all these other sweet games and...OK that's just dumb.

It's gotta be Orange Box, and if you don't agree...that's OK.

700 hours on Team Fortress 2, as part of the Orange Box. So we'll assume 20 bucks.

20/700 = 2.86 cents per hour

Does nobody play strategy games any more?

Civ II - 150h?
Rome: Total War - 80h?

Looking for the next one. Empire: Total War maybe.

San Andreas too - 80h?

Think about how much life costs you in food, heating, water, etc. I think you'll find it's quite poor value for money compared to these games. Obviously I'm not going to do the maths 'cos in theory I have better things to do..

Best value for money I'm probably going to have to second Audiosurf since it was like £8 and its the only co-op game I have, so it gets played quite a lot when I have friends round.

Well I have approx 3200 hours on WoW.. lemme figure the math out.
That's Fourth and a half months. You have spent four and a half months playing World of Warcraft.
My god.
I realise this is dragging an old topic back up but I feel the need to defend myself here >.>

I got the game on launch pretty much and played one single character from then until now and 4.5 years is 234 weeks - that works out at LESS the 14 hours a week. Now some weeks I played a lot, some I didn't play at all.

You also have to remember the social aspect of WoW, lots of those hours were spent sitting around in a major city somewhere chatting with friends, or just plain AFK.

So really all that figure means is that I bought WoW close to launch and have continued to enjoy it since. I think if you were to look at the REAL WoW fanatics who started with me they would have a much MUCH higher number.

Spelunky: $0.00/hour.

Cave Story: $0.00/hour.

Enjoying a really good indie game: Priceless.
