Best Valve Game?

We all know that Valve has a large fanbase,its easy to see why.But which Valve game do you find the best?

Half Life = Super duper mega awesome Single Player
Team Fortress 2 = Great Multiplayer
I'll go with Half-Life

It's a tough one. Either the entire Orange Box or Left 4 Dead.

Portal, followed by Left 4 Dead. Didn't like HL and having played enough CS or TF2 to have a real opinion on them.

Actually I'll say the HL 2 series (so HL 2 and both episodes) - I can't say the first because I've never played it, much to my shame .

HL2 and Episode 2 were the best, although I felt sorry for Episode 1 because they had to use it to get you out of 17 and in to the country so they probably had less room to maneuver on things.

I was genuinely shocked by the ending though. And after that final battle, if it had come any later...it might not have had the same impact, you know what I mean?

Well despite never playing the orginal Half-Life and any of the Counter Striked I have to go with either.

Left 4 Dead or Portal with Half-life 2 in 3rd followed by episode 2 then episode 1 and finnally Tf 2. (In all fairness I'm a console gamer and I have heard that TF2 is better on steam but I really don't want to have to pay to download it and then learn an entire new control scheme.)

Team Fortress 2 is the one that I've played the most. Really fun, balanced, accessible yet with a high skill ceiling, tons of lasting appeal... What more can you ask?
