All is quiet, idyllic, even restful.
Without a moment of warning, metallic orbital drop-pods burst through the sound barrier. Their brakes deploy- wings buffeting against the air and small thrusters thundering from below. It is not enough to stop the pods' descent.
They impact the earth with an almighty smash, as explosive pins shatter the door-frames, launching the charred slabs of metal into nearbye rocks and trees. From one, a figure emerges.
"Could we *possibly* make any more noise?"
The Master Chief hefts a rocket launcher, from his pod.
"Oh... guess so."
