Left 4 Dead. It actually introduces you to the game and how to play it, while still looking cool.
My problem with most game videos/cutscenes is how most of them look really awesome and cinematic, but in the end you can't do anything like it in the actual game.
An recent example would be the Dragonage 2 teaser/trailer, looks so incredibly cool, but in the actual game your character will most likely be standing in the same spot, almost taking turns at getting hit and throwing hits.

Half Life 2, it probably has the single best example of visual storytelling I have ever seen in a game. It tells you so much in such a short space of time, and all without a character needing to explain anything to you.

As much as I hated the game, I really enjoyed the borderlands intro.
The only difference is that Snatch was a movie, had a better intro, and was better.

Actually valve in general has strong openings/narratives.
I also have this thing with the opening of the original Panzer Dragoon (apart from being a awesome series that needs to be picked up by a studio). I remember first playing this ages ago, when I was still a wee lil lad. And for some reason, it has always stuck with me, even after the CD went belly up, and I couldn't play it anymore.
I screamed with glee when a few years ago, I picked up Panzer Dragoon Orta and discovered you also get the entire original game once you beat it (hint: buy it, backwards compatible on 360 and it's totally awesome).
