The intro to The Void. Not the best game ever, but certainly worth a note.

BioShock's opening it absolutely great. Mass Effect 2's is big thing if you import because you have to see:

My pick would be the intro to borderlands for the awesome song

Definitely this.
I have watched that intro so many times, and I never seem to get sick of it.
I think it's to do with the song too.

It has everything. Plus I like my intos to have a fight of sorts. This delivers, excellent game too. I wish they scrapped FFXII and just made a consol version of Dissidia. Best fighting game ever. [/fangirlism]

I liked the intro to Final Fantasy: Crisis Core. Totally lets you know that Zack is badass, yet inexperienced.

Bioshock. Hands-down, Bioshock. You're shown a not-too-distant past in which it was cool to smoke on airplanes. You swim to safety in the middle of the...Atlantic(?) ocean. You take a mysterious elevator into the heart of the sea and ride a self-propelled public transit vehicle into an underwater city which doesn't look nearly as haunted and screwed over as it is.

"They said it would be impossible to build Rapture under the sea. I said it would be impossible to build it anywhere else."

Absolutely...

Plus it has the single greatest piece of dialogue in gaming.

'My name in Andrew Ryan.. ect ect...'

Gotta be the original Red Faction. In just a few moments, it explains who you are, why you're on Mars, why you're rebelling and introduces the core gameplay element, blowing holes in stuff. It grabs you right away and doesn't let you go.
