Okay so this might be a bit odd but whenever I play a new game, one of the first things I do is look up at the sky.

So my question to you is: Which game have you played that has the most realistic or impressive sky? I was always real impressed by Obvivion's starry nights

Morrowind's dual-mooned skies still leave me awestruck.

Seeing the other side of the ring as part of the sky in the original Halo was quite cool too.

Hear, hear. Elder Scrolls' moons and ever-changing skies are epic :)

When I'm out on the Wounded Coast in DA2 the sky always makes the setting feel complete. Try looking up some time if you're out there.

The second Mass Effect has a mission where you go to a planet to "visit a friend" of Zaeed. Seriously, the sky there is just beautifull.

Of course, Morrowind sky is awesomesauce, but I also love the skies in S.T.A.L.K.E.R, they are stunning.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s, but not so much for the skyboxes themselves.

Its kind of comforting, or something, to look up at the big pretty sky after wandering through mutant infested abandoned research stations, zombie ridden wastelands, psycho religious fanatic controlled Red Forests and the freaking city of freaking Pripyat, with its previously mentioned zombies and religious psychos along with screwed up anomalies that turn to you to jelly.

And the big creepy ferris wheel...

Witcher 2 has some gorgeous skies. Notably in Chapter 2.

But my all time favourite as to be in ME2 Lair of the Shadow Broker. That boiling cloud effect looked amazing.

My favorite was Halo 3 when you first land on the Arc and you look up and see, I shit you not, a galaxy.

A giant galaxy. I stared for about five minutes

I used to love hanging out and looking at the night sky in some areas of World of Warcraft. Particularly the Blood Isles and Dun Morogh.

Also, Suguri has some absolutely beautiful skies that you can fight through...particularly the fourth stage's roiling thunderstorm and <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHAyFwhuFO4&feature=related#t=1m12s>the final boss fight up above the clouds. Sadly ruined somewhat by Youtube quality, but it's great in the game itself.

Red Dead Redemption had a stupid pretty sky. I could just stare at the scenery for hours in that game, granted it was because I couldn't see Mr. Marsten on account of him clipping through the landscape, but still.

I like you already.

MMOs are usually the best place to find wonderful skies.
Bree in LotRo has a beautiful clear sky.
Sunset in Everquest East Commonlands/The Oasis is beautiful.
DCUO/Arkham Asylum has such a great cityline.
And Tatooine in SW:G is sublime. (and yes, two suns)

Best one so far : Morrowind... just brilliant. Two worlds 2 also has a very nice sky. Also the sky in Storm Peaks in WoW.

The sky in LotRO is quite epic, for the most part is realistic unless I'm mistaken, (I've also heard a rumor that it's in the same configuration as it would have been while Tolkien was writing about Middle-Earth), though once you hit Angmar the sky goes from epicness close to real life to just pure epicness.
