I read the book first, and all I could think of was "how can you even make a movie out of this?". It's a good story, but a lot of it takes place inside the head of the main character as he watches his personalities begin to separate and both get involved in the paranoia of his friends on both sides. I liked the movie and the book, but I'm sure the only reason I knew what was going on in the film was because I'd read the book first.viranimus said:A scanner darkly comes to mind. Great visuals... but honestly I can enjoy the film just as much with the sound off as with it on. I dont know if its so much the stories fault as much as it is the poor execution.
I'll go with Prometheus, since it's visuals were SO good they forced me to stay interested in a movie I probably would have hated otherwise.
