The voice acting in Arkham Asylum is pretty good - notably Mark Hamill's Joker, Kevin Conroy as Batman and also whoever played the Riddler.

I lol'd, thank you.

OT: I actually liked Male Shep's voice acting in ME, because that's about how my voice sounds in my day-to-day and it kinda helped me get immersed in the game.

Splinter Cell. Lambert and Fisher, oh so good conversations.

Broken Sword 3. George Stobbart, the TRUE treasure hunter. Eat your heart out, Drake and Nolan North!

Visari in Killzone 2. That's some damn good propaganda!

Don't forget DMC 2, the pinnacle of bad voice acting.

Another VO actor that I really like and hope turns up in more games is the fellow who voiced Kane and Lynch 2's lead character, Lynch, Jarion Monroe, mainly because in that game he became more 3 dimensional and opened up a lot more as a character (inb4 a thousand cuts joke) and when talking to Xiu he sounded very different, to the point where I didn't realise it was him talking, this is due to the fact that he assumes an entirely different character to the one Kane knows, what we see of him dealing with everyone else he may as well be one of the guys from deliverance, with a gruff hillbilly voice, perpetually swearing and screaming threats at people, but then hes talking to his girlfriend and this 45 year old redneck psycho is suddenly calm, collected, gentle and kind, something that we never get to see in the first Kane and Lynch, on top of that, when it all goes tits up (spoiler alert) he starts having mini breakdown episodes in the middle of gunfights, and as the game goes on, they get progressively more intense and as he becomes more worn out, he eventually starts whimpering to himself and breaking down terribly, even as he is trying to fight off waves of CSP soldiers, the fact that Jarion Monroe can pull this off, believably so is a testament to good videogame voice acting.
Pretty much 100% the reason I love Lynch. His voice acting is brilliant in 2, sadly he didn't have many hallucinations and the game around it was very one-note.

The Legacy of Kain series. Full stop.

Also yay another chance to show the Soul Reaver 2 intro...

I could have sex with Kain's voice (although I suppose Simon Templeman would object).

Tim Curry as Emperor Doviculus in Brütal Legend. Yeah I know it's just Tim Curry being Tim Curry, but he just made that part.

For the childish gamer in me, Eric Idle (Rincewind) & Jon Pertwee (Court Jester) in Discworld have the comedy timing and acting skills honed by years in the trade.

Special props go out to Roger Craig Smith, for his work as Ezio Auditore da Firenze in Assassin's Creed 2 & Brotherhood.

But my all time favourite voice actor is Simon Templeman for his role in the Legacy of Kain series. Opposite Michael Bell as Raziel, they were a fantastic pair of voices. Templeman's dark voice gave it enough malice, even when you were supposed to perceive Kain as the good guy. Perhaps that was just right for someone to be viewed as "the lesser of two evils"

Overall? Probably Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. That game never receives the credit it is due for not only having a stellar script with some extremely believable and fluid dialogue, but also some of the best casting and voice acting I've ever heard in a game. That feat made all the more impressive when you consider just what these actors are playing in some cases!

As for personal favourites, probably The Longest Journey and Dreamfall for once again boasting a stellar script and solid voice acting as well as some of my favourite gaming protagonist as well as the Thief series because of Garrett and those awesomely dense guards and their random conversations you occasionally get to overhear!

Oh, and Baldur's Gate, because of:

OH MY GOD JC A BOMB!
A BOMB!?!

Seriously though:

Captain MacMillan from CoD 4 (oi, suzy!), and maybe Price too.
Any of the major characters in the Orange Box.
Kreia from SWKOTOR2, and Master Vrook from both games.
