Best weapons in Fallout 3?

I've only just finished Waters of Life but I'm really enjoying the Rail Spike Rifle. It's like tossing trains at them xD Too bad ammo is a tad scarse. So I'm trying to ration it. Which leaves me with my other two fav's, the Wazer Wifle (or whatever its called) and the Chinese Assault Rifle.

Yea. I would actually recommend it over Pitt. It's fun, funny, you get a cool new pad when you're done and the best gun (imo) is on the Mothership:AcacianLeaves said:

It hasn't left my side since I picked it up. Just make sure you have a 75 science before you get abducted.
the best non dlc weapon in the game is the mirv but another non dlc game which i rate as the most practical (ammo, firepower, and wieght) is vengance. Vengance is a named gattling laser that at fully repaired does about 130-140 or so damage. it can be found in the back of the deathcalw sancuary behind a rock piller by a small pool of water. if you did the finding out about rivet city's history part of the survival guide ammo only costs 1 cap each and usually is stocked in 1000s-10000s. its one draw back is that it wieghs alot, 15-20 or so.
