Best/Worse Movie Sequels and Why?

That was kinda self-explanatory. Just list off the

Best: The Dark Knight. There is no explanation necessary, it was simply awesome.

and

Worst: The Hills Have Eyes 2, story was uninteresting, especially due to the distractions of the soldier group whose unprofessionalism and "uniforms" vary wildly, incredibly stupid moves that real soldiers simply wouldn't do, and inconsistencies with their equipment (example, I believe one lost their helmet yet is wearing it a minute later)
By the way, I already used the search bar and the only thread I saw about this was about games, not movies.

The Dark Knight was an incredibly whiny movie to watch the 2nd time through.

Terminator 2 is pretty awesome

I really loved Ice Age III - Buck is an incredible character

Best: Back To The Future, Terminator and Aliens. All great sequels, Aliens especially!

Worst: Ghostbusters...

Best Sequel: Bourne Ultimatum. Do I really even need to say anything? All three of these movies are pure gold, and if you haven't watched them, go do so now.
Worst Sequel: Attack of the Clones. Dear God, it was a pile of crap that shoots flaming spikes into your eyes.

Worst:Attack of the Clones,Phantom Menace was bad but I liked it more than Attack of the Clones.

Worst: Battle Royale II, the acting in that movie was embarrassing.

Terminator 2 was the best sequel of all time, if you don't count Hot Fuzz as a sequel to Shaun of the Dead. The Evil Dead 2 is also a great sequel.

The worst? Well, if the Matrix had sequels then I would say that, but fortunately they never made any so I'll say Shrek 2 and 3.

Best: (Can't think of anything that hasn't been said above me) BUT it may not be considered a sequel, but I enjoyed Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets much more than any of the other movies.

Worst: Horror movies mostly: Grudge 2, Ring 2, ...any of the Movies after the first Resident Evil.

Dude...while I'm not sure PJ:TLT counts as a sequel, I will agree that that is the worst film in the history of existence. I left the theater feeling physically violated after that movie.

I have seen it and it is so bad, so utterly dreadful and dire and devoid of anything good and wholesome, that it destroys your will to live after watching it.

It is still better than Transformers 2.

A few people here are mentioning films which aren't all that bad in the great scheme of things (Star Wars prequels etc). They were terrible films don't get me wrong, but for them to the worst? Has anyone here actually sat and watched Robocop 3? Have you subjected yourself to the mind-numbing horror that is Jaws 4?

The worst? Well, if the Matrix had sequels then I would say that,

Let me introduce you to The Matrix Reloaded & The Matrix Revolutions.

OT: Best: Lord of The Rings.

Worst: I know i will take HUGE flak for this but.......Dark Knight.
Compared to Batman Begins it just felt empty and overly actiony until the last 5 minutes where the moral explanation was hugely deep. (And i do accept Heath Ledger was amazing)

Best: An American Tale: Fieval Goes West. I actually liked it better than the first. Shrek, Toy Story, and a few other animated films have done well too.

Superhero movies have done well too (Spiderman, Iron Man, Batman)
