Yeah, that's probably true. About Alpha Protocol, that game being good would be good enough on it's own, but if it can get Obsidian out of Bioware's shadow, all the better.
Exactly. Me being the huge bioware fanboy I am, I've not hated a single game they've ever released.

However, I hate to see good games go down in flames just because Obsidian picked the wrong developer to idolize.
I have no idea what you mean by this. How are they idolising BioWare? And if they are, how is that bad? Oblivion have some history with BioWare from their days as Black Isle, and it resulted in Planescape:Torment, which was vastly different from Baldur's Gate (AD&D 2nd Edition aside).

KotOR II was bad because it was unfinished, due to lack of time. Everything that was there and properly present in the game was fantastic.

for a game being worse than the original, no game tops Fable II.
WRONG

Imagine a delicious cake. It's so delicious that you would have thirds and miss your favourite TV show just to eat it. That's Perfect Dark 64. Now imagine that cake, but now it's been eaten by some foul creature, digested, shat out as watery sloshy crap that stinks to high heaven and then that foul creature died in it. That's Perfect Dark Zero.

Best Sequel is easily going Jak 2 and Jak 3. Closely followed by Half-Life 2 and Diablo 2

Worst Sequel goes to Medievil 2... that was fucking awful. Oh and Medievil Resurrection also takes the worst remake title.

Worst sequel(s): Super Mario - it's going downhill since the cocaine bucket has run dry.
Worst sequel(s): Final Fantasy(ies) - don't you even get me started on that.
Best sequel(s): Half-Life 2 and expansion packs - don´t you dare not mention these!
Best sequel(s): Red Faction 2 and Guerilla - continues to impress me.
Best sequel(s): Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 and expansions - still awesome.
Best sequel(s): Elder Scrolls V: Oblivion - Better than all the others before.

Sorry, but I must correct this!

Oblivion is inferior to Morrowind, in almost every way, except for graphics.
Morrowind on the other hand, is one of the best sequels ever.
Which come to think of it makes Oblivion one of the worst, by comparison.

Best: Half Life and episodes 2 and 3,
Assassins Creed 2,
L4D2 (It's kind of on the boderline because it is almost the same as L4D but L4D was great and it hasn't got worse)
TF2
Worst: MW2
FEAR 2

fable 2 for the lose
and halo wars, although it wasn't so much a sequel as another crappy installment of the series that didn't deserve to exist.

Best: AC2. The first had a good frame, but the missions were too repetitive, and the story was extremely basic. You didn't know why you were killing someone. For the second, they removed all the crap and made the story a lot more interesting. Half-Life 2 is also up there. Because HL2 is FREAKING AWESOME.

Worst: Spider-man 3. ARGH.

Not the worst, but poor sequel: Snake 2, found on Nokia 3310's, I played Snake 1 on the 8210. I didn't like the mazes or the special flashing fruit. The original was a true test of endurance.

Best sequel: Metal Gear Solid 2. Fantastic graphics, excellent framerate, great storyline. More ways to control your character and interact with the levels, this was most important to me. This lived up to the Metal Gear Solid on PSX. =)

If you would read my other posts, you would understand.

As I've already stated, I love KOTOR 2 and many other games by Obsidian. Obsidian clearly idolizes Bioware due to the fact that many games that they make are sequels to Bioware properties.

I believe that Obsidian should stop making sequels to Bioware games. Bioware fans crucify them because they fail to deliver what the fans want, or the fans are simply angry that it isn't Bioware taking the reigns. Many people dislike Obsidian (and KOTOR 2 in particular) because of this.

KOTOR 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2 were great games, fantastic in fact, but they'd be better had they not done a game for a Bioware franchise.

HL2 and AC2 were awesome sequels. If it comes down to bad sequels, I guess you can count (in movies) the entire episodes 1 2 and 3 of Star Wars. In gaming, hmm, I'm not in the habit of playing bad games, I'm pretty lucky, so I don't really land with them often.
