Best: the Mabari from Dragon Age: Origins. Or Gordon Freeman, as I'm not much of a social person so we could just stare blankly at the walls for a while, wondering what part of the elevator is most susceptible to crowbars.
Ideally, I'd like to be stuck with someone like the cat from Coraline, a talking animal that's slightly smug, very wise, but feels slightly above humans.
Oh, and Repede from Tales of Vesperia. He's got a pipe! Classy, especially for a dog.

I get the feeling Barrett Wallace a.k.a. "not Mr. T. whatchu talkin' 'bout" would get really pissed off at me really quickly. Kratos would probably figure "hell, this thing's been here for half an hour, might as well improvise some sort of escape device out of this kid."
Issun might convince Amaterasu to cut me in half or put a giant bomb in the elevator or something, that would suck.
