Best/ Worst Voice Acting

Best:
There was something about Merc's voice from Mirror's Edge that I liked. I think the guy just seemed likeable.

Worst:
Gonna have to go with the old guy from Fallout 3. It's not a bad old guy voice, it's just that every single old guy has the exact same voice! What, did the nuclear fall out screw around with every over-60's vocal cords?

Disagree. If you can't hear the emotion in the very first conversation with Liara/Ashley, then there is something wrong with you.

He delivered most of the lines much better than femshep. I really don't understand the criticism many level at him.

Best: Left for Dead series. I really feel like some of those people are real.
(also the Red Alert series and the marines in Halo 2 have made me laugh more than once).

Worst: Shen Mue.

(all delivered devoid of any emotion).

The best voice acting I've heard would have to be from Red Dead. Rock Star really took their time making a quality game with a strong, well told story.

Tommy and Sam during and after their gunfight in Mafia, and Tom's final monologue.

Anything from Mass Effect 2 (yep, even MaleShep).

Jolee Bindo from KotOR.

Rodrigo Borgia's denouncement of God at the end of AC2.

And Vito in Mafia 2 when

his mum dies. I wish we'd have seen more of her because that is an exceptionally well directed and acted scene. I use it in my arguments against people who claim he's emotionless; he's just more reserved.

Oh, and Joe when Marty dies.

it has a dark and unnatural feel to it without making him see greatly inhuman which went well with the character

worst - dante in the original devil may cry one word "liiight!"

For the record, the company that make these do this all the time.

I know. Good lord do I know. Animal Soccer World is the pick of the bunch though, just because it's so obviously just one guy reading stuff he hardly understands. "We don't have enough money for voice actors, just get into that cubicle and take this script!"
