Best Xbox Game Right Now?

I would like to say Halo: Reach but it is not out yet. If you need something NOW I would say Mass Effect 2. However you can't play that without Mass Effect 1 which I didn't think was that great. Also that would make 2 games. You said you played Fallout 3 so my next choice would be Dead Rising or Halo 3.

The thing about Halo 3 is that Halo: Reach is about to come out. Also if you find multiplayer to be your big thing get Halo 3: ODST. It comes with all Halo 3 multiplayer maps + firefight.

Crackdown, Dead Space, Bad Company 1/2, Condemned is good, the Orange Box is great, Prototype is fun, and Borderlands is a nice game as well...

Mass Effect 1 and 2 and, when it's released, Mass Effect 3.

Every Battlefield game on the 360 is good; Bad Company 2 being the best.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 and Splinter Cell: Double Agent are both incredible.

Last but not least, Gears of War and Viva Pinata.

There are some other good ones, there are bad ones and then there's Halo, which is just bland and frustrating.

Saints Row 2, Prototype, Dragon Age: Origins, Crackdown 2... seriously there are a ton of awesome games for you to choose. If you like Gears of War I will go out on a limb and recommend Gears of War 2.

Those for my money are the mainstream must-plays right now. Anything else depends on personal taste. I also enjoyed Borderlands and Brutal Legend, but those aren't to everyone's taste.

I recommend Mass Effect 2, it has a fantastic story. If you have not played the first one though I recommend playing that one first. Another good game I might recommend is Metro 2033, which is not a mainstream type of game.

Mass Effect 2 is the best game for the console, hand down, no doubt about it. You actually have to play it it is so good. But, Mass Effect 2 gets even better if you play Mass Effect 1 and import your save. So do that. Mass Effect 1 should be piss cheap and Mass Effect 2 is low enough as well. Buy both and it will be the best 40 dollars or something you can spend. Both are nearly infinitely replayable too.
